The Free State Minister of Health, Mr Monyatso Mahlatsi, has strongly condemned the attack on health workers by a disgruntled patient at the Thabong Clinic on July 26.
According to Mondli Mvambi, spokesperson for the Free State Department of Health, the patient is said to have gone to a clinic early the day before and was not helped as quickly as he would have liked.
The patient left voluntarily, but returned the next day with a bucket full of feces, which he poured over the health worker, polluting the waiting room.
After the attack, the perpetrator boasted and posted the aftermath of his attack on Facebook, Mvambi said
A case was opened with the SAPS.
