Mpumalanga Premier welcomes law enforcement’s efforts to fight crime

The Mpumalanga Provincial Government says it views measures taken by law enforcement agencies to eliminate acts of corruption in state institutions as significant in strengthening the fight against crime.

This is in reaction to the seizure of various assets and properties amounting to R52.6 million on Tuesday.

The assets seized by the Asset Forfeiture Unit, the Special Investigating Unit, and the Hawks are linked to individuals, including senior government officials, implicated in personal protective equipment tender corruption.

Spokesperson of the provincial government George Mthethwa says Premier Mandla Ndlovu has welcomed the move as one that promotes good conduct and integrity amongst public servants.
