Mpumalanga military camp | Police not ruling out more arrests

WHITE RIVER – One of the 95 Libyan nationals arrested at a secret military camp in Mpumalanga says they were sent to South Africa for security guard training.

But the National Prosecuting Authority is not convinced.

The NPA has charged the suspects with Contravention of the Immigration Act and says it’s also working on finding an Arabic interpreter for their next court appearance.

The police are not ruling out the possibility of more arrests as they continue investigations.

An inquiry into the owner of the farm where the Libyan nationals were nabbed has also been opened.

The case has been postponed to 5 August.
