Level 5 weather warning issued for Western Cape

CAPE TOWN – The South African Weather Service has yet again issued a weather warning for Cape Town and surrounding municipalities.

This follows the torrential rains and gale-force winds earlier this month which caused damage to infrastructure and flooding in various parts of the Western Cape.

City authorities are on standby to deal with the impact.

Meanwhile, Cape Town has received the same volume of rain it would normally receive in a single year.

Major dams such as Steenbras, Berg River, and Theewaterskloof Dams are now 100 percent full.
