At this point, it seems Gauteng residents will have to wait a little longer to have new leaders as the DA and ANC struggle to find common ground.Â
But Nciza said that he was confident that Lesufi would announce his Cabinet on Tuesday, with or without the DA.
“From tomorrow this really must proceed because it is really delaying the people of Gauteng. It can’t be fair, it’s not right. The people of Gauteng have been waiting for their government.”
EWN has learned that the DA was only offered two portfolios in Lesufi’s Cabinet.
But Nciza, who failed to confirm the number of positions offered to the DA, said that negotiations would have to be concluded by Tuesday.
“Gauteng is like a country, that’s why it is highly contested. From where we are, we believe we are very fair, w are accepting what needs to happen bu we are never going to allow anybody to bully us.”
This is the second time Lesufi has postponed his Cabinet announcement.
