Gauteng Health reduces billions worth of medical legal claims

PRETORIA – Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says the department has significantly reduced medical legal claims.

The portfolio was previously sitting with around R30 billion in claims, going as far back as 2003.

But Nkomo-Ralehoko says through mediation and negotiation, they’ve managed to bring that figure down.
