Eskom contractor employees arrested for fuel theft

JOHANNESBURG – Three Eskom contractor employees have been arrested for the theft of diesel at Kusile Power Station.

The suspects allegedly tried to offer the supervisor a R5,000 bribe if he didn’t report the crime, which he refused.

They were charged and appeared in the Phola Court on Thursday.

All three accused were released on bail of R500 each. 

The case has been remanded to 4 September.
