Discussion | The effect of storms on healthcare in Western Cape

CAPE TOWN – As the inclement weather continues to wreak havoc across the Western Cape, the Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa says the bad weather has impacted access to healthcare services in the province.

It says a number of healthcare facilities in low-lying areas have experienced flooding to the level where some have had to close down.

Denosa Western Cape Chairperson, Eleanor Roberts, discussed the challenges faced by healthcare workers during extreme weather.
