Crime in SA | Mexican, Russian nationals face drug charges in SA

JOHANNESBURG – There’ve been two major drug busts in the country over the last week.

In one, an industrial-scale meth lab was busted in Groblersdal in Limpopo.

In the other, cocaine to the value of R252-million was seized in Stilbaai in the Western Cape.

Foreign nationals were arrested alongside locals in both cases.

Three Mexicans were arrested in Limpopo and a Russian national was arrested for the cocaine.

Martin Ewi, an organised crime expert at the Institute for Security Studies, talks about these arrests.
