A security guard-turned-drug dealer from Clanwilliam was handed two life sentences by the Western Cape High Court on Thursday for commissioning the murder of an alleged rival.  

“We hear about escalating violence every day,” Acting Judge Nolundi Nyati told Ferlin Arries.

She added there were so many murders in the country, some people even encourage vigilantism.
