Premiers warn MECs to put residents first

New premiers in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, Phophi Ramathuba and Mandla Ndlovu, have strongly asserted the need for their cabinet members to prioritize residents and service delivery. Both leaders introduced six new cabinet members on Tuesday and emphasized collaboration and vocal advocacy within their teams.

Ramathuba highlighted key areas for development in Limpopo, including economic growth, job creation, industrialization, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and crime reduction. She stressed that now, post-elections, the focus must shift to active and effective governance.

Ramatuba expressed confidence in the newly appointed executive council, emphasizing the importance of integrity and responsibility in their roles. She believes that with their dedication and collaborative efforts, they will make substantial progress towards a prosperous and equitable Limpopo.

“The elections are over and we now need everyone behind the wheel,” Ramatuba asserted, emphasizing the need for effective, sustainable, and responsive policy implementation to meet community needs.
