KZN COSATU Raises Concerns Over Inadequate Consultation in Provincial Unity Government

DURBAN – Cosatu in KwaZulu-Natal has voiced worries about the lack of consultation with the ANC, its primary partner in the tripartite alliance. Despite these concerns, Cosatu has chosen to accept the ANC’s decisions. Recently, the ANC formed a unity government with the IFP, DA, and NFP. This coalition led to the appointment of Thami Ntuli from the IFP as the elected Prime Minister. Just last week, during a briefing, the alliance members, including Cosatu, outright rejected any partnership with the DA for the upcoming 2024 elections.
