The Hawks in Mpumalanga are urging public assistance to locate suspects involved in a cash-in-transit heist. The incident occurred on Saturday in the Mhala area, where a Fidelity Security Company armored vehicle, transporting cash from Thulamahashe shops, was targeted. According to Hawks spokesperson Captain Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi, the armored vehicle was rammed by a silver Mercedes Benz. Additionally, the escort vehicle, a Toyota Hilux bakkie, was ambushed by two VW Polos, one white and one silver. The assailants shot and wounded the driver, who has since been hospitalized. The robbers also seized two firearms.
