The family of Busiswa Nxumalo, the domestic worker allegedly murdered by her employer for a R6 million insurance payout, claimed they were given R14 500 by the nurse accused of orchestrating and carrying out the murder.

According to Nxumalo’s uncle, Njabulo Nxumalo, the family were oblivious that the murder accused and professional nurse Sithembile Happiness Xulu, 47, had pocketed R700 000 just 24 hours after her death in 2022.

Addressing the media outside the court on Tuesday, Nxumalo claimed that on 18 January 2022, he was at work when he received a call from Xulu that Busiswa had been killed by a mob in Lenasia South in Gauteng.
