Bundesliga club excited about Mpumalanga preparatory camp | Kick-off

FC Augsburg will hold their 2024 summer training camp in South Africa, marking their first such camp outside Europe. The Bundesliga club has partnered with TS Galaxy, offering potential opportunities for Galaxy players to join Augsburg. The camp will take place from July 18 to 28 at the Mbombela Stadium, where Augsburg will also compete in the Mpumalanga Premier’s International Tournament.

Michael Ströll, Augsburg’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the South African trip, praising local officials for their efforts. This partnership aims to boost the Bundesliga’s worldwide popularity and provides a unique training environment for Augsburg. Both teams have performed well in their leagues, with Augsburg finishing 11th in Bundesliga and TS Galaxy achieving a record sixth place in the DStv Premiership.

This collaboration brings excitement to Mpumalanga, potentially drawing attention to local stars like Ermedin Demirovic, who scored 15 goals in the Bundesliga last season.
