A tractor crushed her face, but this Limpopo woman miraculously survived | You

She had plans to celebrate her 25th birthday with a taste of home: a braai with friends on the farm in America they’d called home for the past few years.

But the celebration never happened – instead she spent her birthday in a hospital bed after her face was all but destroyed in a freak accident.

Chané Dreyer and her husband, Willem, work on a rice farm in Ruleville in Mississippi in the American South. She was operating a John Deere tractor when her life changed in an instant in May this year.
