3.02 magnitude earthquake hits North West  | News24

The Council for Geoscience (CGS), which monitors earthquake activities occurring within South Africa, says a 3.02 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Orkney, in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, on Friday.

“The Council for Geoscience can confirm that an earthquake occurred on Friday evening at around 23:15,” CGS spokesperson Mahlatse Mononela said in a statement.
